I’m hiring a freelance video editor to help me edit videos. The aim is to allow me to get content out more consistently while increasing the quality. I’d also like to streamline the video creation process with your help.
If you’ve not seen the channel yet then here it is:

The job in short
- You’ll be editing videos about live sound using a combination of footage that I’ll provide you, and my existing B-roll library.
- The position is freelance.
- We’ll be releasing 1 video a week.
- Videos are usually 10-15 minutes but might occasionally be longer or shorter.
- The position is remote, though if you happen to be in Oslo we can obviously do things in person.
Here’s the absolute musts:
- You need to have some combination of decent video editing skills and a good understanding/ experience of live sound.
- You’ll need to have exceptional communication skills and be great at taking feedback.
- You need to be 100% reliable. If you say you will deliver a video by 10am friday that video must be with me by that time. I am not reliable myself, so I need to know you are. If you slack, I’ll slack, then I’ll decide things are moving too slowly and I’d be quicker doing it myself.
- You have exceptional English skills. I'm Scottish, so my accent can be a bit unique. If understanding different accents is a challenge for you, this role might not be the best fit.
- Your own software & hardware. I use Resolve for video but you can use whatever gets the job done.
- We should also get along. Life's too short to work with people who don't energise you.
